“With all of her accomplishments, she brings humility, a sense of humor and a streak of independence.” That’s how the Oakland Tribune endorsed Pamela in May 2014 as “smart and thoughtful” and the best choice for the AD15 Assembly seat.
On June 7, 2016, The People elected Pamela Price to the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee (ACDCC) for the 18th Assembly District with more than 36,000 votes, the highest number of votes ever for such a position.
On March 3, 2020, the People spoke again and elected Pamela a second time with the highest number of votes for a Central Committee seat with more than 42,000 votes.
The 18th Assembly District includes:
- Oakland (80% of the City from the West to the East)
- San Leandro
- Alameda
The Central Committee meets every first Wednesday of the month from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the San Leandro Public Library, 300 Estudillo Avenue, San Leandro. The meetings are open to the public. This committee is the official organization of the Democratic Party in Alameda County – it makes decisions about candidates, priorities and policies for the party.
Why Pamela Price for the Democratic Party Central Committee for Assembly District 18?
Pamela Price is a Yale-educated history-making civil rights attorney who has spent a lifetime fighting to make things better and fair for people from all walks of life, ages, gender and races. From her successful argument in the U.S. Supreme Court to her groundbreaking work for women working in California’s prison, she has stood in the gap for people who need help in our justice system.
Pamela will work to ensure access to fair housing, quality healthcare and justice, and to end gun violence in our community. As an experienced and fierce advocate, she will bring new light and fresh energy to our Democratic Party Central Committee. We need her voice at the table!
Thank you for voting to Elect Pamela Price for the AD18 Democratic Party Central Committee on March 3, 2020.
