Pamela Y. Price Price And Associates
Nationally recognized civil rights lawyer Pamela
Price argued a Title VII race discrimination case
before the United States Supreme Court and won.
Justice Clarence Thomas wrote the majority opinion
of the Court. It is one of the few times, if any,
that Justice Thomas has ruled in favor of a Plaintiff in a race case.
Pamela Price will take you behind the scenes of this landmark case and
unique experience. She will also talk about how she realized her vision in
June 1991 to establish a minority- and woman-owned litigation law firm in
Oakland, California, specializing in civil rights. In the 19 years since its in-
ception, the firm has evolved into a premier civil rights practice.
In 2004 and 2005, she was recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers
in Northern California. She received the 2002 CLAY Award for Employment
Law from California Lawyer magazine. In 2003, she received a Certificate of
Special Congressional Recognition for her community service. In 1993 and
again in 2001, she received the Charles Houston Bar Association's Clinton W.
White Trial Advocacy Award. Ms. Price earned her B.A. from Yale Univer-
sity in 1978. She earned her M.A. and J.D. from UC Berkeley and Boalt Hall,
respectively, in 1982.
